Big Fish

Not big news to most, but we have a Lake Trout problem in Yellowstone Lake.
They were introduced and have thrived.  Unfortunately, they eat the Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout.
Lake trout are not a good substitute, as they spawn deep in the lake.  YCT spawn in streams and feed something like 30 species.

So we kill Lake Trout.

200,000 last year, and on track to kill more this year.  Future LiDAR to be flown to find more.

I went out with Jessi on a contract boat in 2010 and we caught a big one:
